Biography:

Jos de Jong studied Mechanical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, with a specialization in Systems and Control. For his graduation project he developed a research platform for small, mobile robots and tested various swarm based control algorithms on the robots. He finished his studies in 2008.

For two years, Jos worked as an automation engineer at Quooker. Tasks included production automation, programming and integrating PLC’s, developing database systems and web interfaces for production data, server management, and office automation.

Since 2010 Jos works as a developer at Almende. He develops the CHAP Links Library, a libary containing web based, dynamic visualization tools such as graphs, a network visualization and a timeline. Furthermore, he works on a web-based agent platform called Eve, and creates web interfaces for various other projects.

As a hobby, Jos has a lot of fun developing the math programs SpeQ Mathematics and Math Notepad
