Biography:

Radu Serban has a Bachelor of Computer Science, Major in Software for Applications, at the Polytechnical University of Timisoara, Romania. He has a PhD in Information Management & Software Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, on Personal Assistants for Security&Privacy in Electronic Transactions.

Radu worked as postdoc researcher in the Artificial Intelligence Department at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Knowledge Representation Group – European Project PROTOCURE2, and in the Agent Research Group – Agent Coordination Strategies for Cybernetic Incident Management (CIM Project) and Adaptive Software Components (ForceVision).

Further, he has several years of commercial experience as Software Developer and IT Architect (Service-Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Architecture) with IBM in The Netherlands.
