Research projects:

FIT4Green, All4Green

Research topics:

To investigate and follow through, within the framework of FIT4Green, possibilities of applying concepts of self-organizing networks and multi-agent based models to the development of energy-aware optimization policies for both single-site and federated data centres.

The idea of the project is to develop, in collaboration with our partners, a high-level platform, agnostic to data center details, able to suggest or even impose dynamically the optimal configuration strategy for a data center in terms of energy consumption, environmental footprint, and operational cost.

Keywords:

Data centres energy-aware plug-ins, federation of data centres, energy consumption models, energy optimization policies, data centres application relocation, cloud and grid infrastructures.
